Trei Real Estate opens retail park in Łódź

Trei Real Estate GmbH is expanding its Polish investment portfolio in the retail sector. The real estate company, part of the German Tengelmann Group, has opened its tenth Polish retail park under the Vendo Park brand in Łódź, its second investment in the city. The total cost of building Vendo Park at Gojawiczynska Street in Łódź was approximately €4.4 million.

Logistics companies in Poland are more confident than ever

A recent report by CBRE and Panattoni Europe confirms a sustained positive outlook for the logistics market in Poland. The Logistics and Supply Chain Confidence Index in Poland stands at 57.4 pts (3.3 pts down from last year). Optimism is higher among logistics companies (64.1 pts) than among manufacturers and traders relying on logistics services (50.4 pts). What is more, as many as 8 out of 10 respondents expect to increase their revenues in the coming 12 months, and 6 out of 10 plan to increase headcount.

Atrium completes €300 million retail acquisition in Warsaw

Atrium European Real Estate Limited has completed the purchase of the Wars Sawa Junior retail centre in Warsaw, Poland for €301.5 million. Following the acquisition, 84% of the company’s portfolio is located in Poland and the Czech Republic and includes four prime centres in Warsaw and two in Prague.

Investors still love Polish retail

The Polish retail market maintains its momentum despite the partial Sunday trading ban. This year’s supply is expected to hit approximately 490,000 sqm, the highest annual level in the last three years. Of that total, 52% will be delivered in cities a population of more than 400,000 while 42% will be handed over in cities with a population of less than 100,000, according to Cushman & Wakefield’s latest report.

Panattoni Europe to build 10,000 sqm BTO factory in Poland

Panattoni Europe announced a new warehouse and manufacturing project which provides for the construction of a hydraulic components factory for Voss Fluid featuring in excess of 10,000 sqm. The investment is situated at the Legnica Special Economic Zone (LSSE) and uses the BTO (build-to-own) formula. The transaction was mediated by JLL. Completion of construction works is anticipated in March 2019.

New leases

  • EPP's Galeria Sudecka in Jelenia Góra is strengthening its offering with lifestyle and service brands, including a newly opened Fit Style gym, the addition of Rituals Cosmetics and Kodano Optyk, and the expansion of Medicine and Wakacje.pl. The new agreements and renewals in Galeria Sudecka cover almost 1,900 sqm of commercial space.
  • Flex office space operator Mindspace announced the signing of a 10-year lease for 4,500 sqm of offices in the Skyliner II tower near Rondo Daszyńskiego in Warsaw.
  • Modular Services, an outsourcing company specialising in IT, finance, and cybersecurity operations, has expanded its office space within the United Business Center 3 (UBC 3) building. Part of the Palas mixed-use development, the international firm has doubled its surface area to 1,300 sqm across two floors.

New appointments

  • Axi Immo has expanded its Office Agency team to strengthen its presence in southern Poland and Warsaw. Karolina Słysz joins as Head of Regional Markets, bringing 10 years of experience to lead efforts in Katowice, Kraków, and Wrocław. Elżbieta Golik has been appointed Associate Director, leveraging over eight years of expertise in tenant representation. In Warsaw, Filip Kowalski joins as Associate Director, focusing on lease negotiations. Additionally, Anna Piłka-Sutkowska has been promoted to Advisor following four years with the firm. To support these transitions, Natalia Majsterek has been hired as Office Department Coordinator.
  • CTP has appointed Cătălin Dit as COO in Romania to strengthen its management team. In this role, he will collaborate closely with Managing Director Ronald Binkofski. Dit brings a wealth of executive experience from the technology and e-commerce sectors, having previously served as CEO, CCO, and Fulfillment Director.
  • Avison Young has strengthened its Polish operations by recruiting Natalia Puza and Damian Bafeltowski. Puza joins as Senior Consultant in the Office Agency, bringing over 11 years of experience. In her new role, she will support office projects in Warsaw and regional markets. Bafeltowski joins the Investment Advisory division as a Consultant. He will focus on market analysis and commercial due diligence across all real estate sectors.
