Mlynské Nivy quarter in Bratislava is undergoing significant changes. The former industrial and warehouse area of Bratislava is becoming an attractive urban district with thousands of apartments, workplaces, shops and services. The extensive Mlynárka project from YIT Slovakia is developed here in several stages, the first of which has already completed its first important step, reports Yimba.sk.
Mlynárka had to undergo a complete environmental impact assessment. The EIA process started in December 2022. After more than two years, the process is now coming to an end. The Ministry of the Environment has issued a final opinion in which it states that it agrees with the implementation of the plan in variant 2m.
In the first stage, the foundation of the city block will be created. Civic amenities will be dispersed in the active parterre in the focal areas of the park in the form of smaller shops and services. A kindergarten will be located on the border of the inner park on the ground floor of the residential building (block C).
The courtyards will include small community spaces, equipped with play elements and other furniture. The front gardens of the apartments on the ground floor and barrier-free entrances to the cores of the apartment buildings will be placed around the perimeter. The total proposed number of apartments is 457.
