The final stage of the Zwirn project developed by YIT in Bratislava has received a valid building permit. The construction work is starting already in October 2024. 


Zwirn 2 consists of 281 apartments and 103 other residential units. The developer launched the sale of this stage at the end of February 2024. 108 apartments have found their owners so far. Excavation works begin in October, and the project's completion with approval is planned for the first half of 2028. It will complete the stages Zwirn 1 and Zwirn 3, which YIT Slovakia has been constructing since 2020. The project is part of the former industrial brownfield in Mlynské Nivy district in Bratislava with a dominant national cultural monument of Pradiareň 1900.

The future residents of Zwirn 2 will have a common clubhouse available and a place to store and wash bicycles in the garage. Zwirn 2 will also bring an additional 26 retail units to the site. The developer is applying for the BREEAM certificate, the project includes sustainable design features, such as heat pumps, a green roof supporting local biodiversity and a photovoltaic system.

YIT has been operating in Slovakia since 2010 focusing mainly on the brownfields revitalisation in Bratislava.
