Property investor Omer Susli has purchased River Plaza Mall in Râmnicu Vâlcea from Sonae Sierra for an undisclosed sum.

Romanian developer Forty Management has secured a syndicated loan worth €65 million for a new mixed-use project in Bucharest. 

Fortim, a member of the BNP Paribas Real Estate Alliance, has expanded its property management portfolio with the office project Maestro Center in Cluj-Napoca and Tureni Industrial Park in Cluj County. 

The fourth quarter was one of the best in recent history, with property deals in Romania at €342 million, compared to €40 million in the same period of last year, according to real estate consultancy Colliers. The overall investment transactions volumes edged close to €900 million, which is roughly similar to the result of 2020. 

The leasing of industrial and logistics spaces in Romania hit a record of 1 million sqm during 2021, with net take-up accounting for 80% of all traded volumes, according to real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. 

Property group NEPI Rockcastle, the biggest owner of shopping centres in Romania, has purchased a land plot of 17 hectares Galați for an undisclosed sum. 

Around 100,000 sqm of new retail spaces should be completed during 2022 in Romania, of which more than 80% are located in retail parks, according to a report by real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. 

Property developer Alesonor has signed a partnership with Holcim Romania Group for the supply of innovative construction materials that will be used in the Amber Forest suburb near Bucharest. 

Romanian developer One United Properties has completed the acquisition of the Bucharest-based Bucur shopping centre. 

Real estate developer City Garden has started the second phase of Bonton Luxury Villas Pipera that will feature 30 new homes.
