CA Immo operating result doubles after three quarters

CA Immo has reported a good operating performance for the first three quarters of 2023. The results show, among other things, a significant increase in rental income (+9%) and high income from the sale of non-strategic properties (sales result of €158 million, FFO II +88%), which led to an increase in the operating result (EBITDA) of 129% compared to the previous year´s figure. In total, CA Immo generated a consolidated net profit of €61.1 million, which was around 77% below the previous year's figure, primarily due to the non-cash-effective, market-related negative result from revaluation.

Penta gets green light for Prague land purchase

The Czech Office for the Protection of Competition has allowed the investment group Penta to buy (through Penta Real Estate) the company ČSAD Praha Holding, which owns the Florenc bus terminal and adjacent land in the capital. The office announced this on its website. The companies did not disclose the price of the transaction, ČTK reports.

Mood on EU investment markets remains subdued

In the third quarter of 2023, the European Union investment market exhibited restrained performance, registering a transaction volume of €23 billion which, in turn, represents a noteworthy year-on-year decline of 57%. The cumulative transaction volume for the initial three quarters of 2023 amounted to approximately €80.4 billion, with domestic investors accounting for 53% of these transactions. Markus Arnold, the CEO and sole proprietor of Arnold Investments, observes "a sustained trend where equity-strong private investors continue to be highly active". The leading asset class on the European investment market remained offices with a transaction volume of €24.3 billion, comprising 30% of the total, followed by residential properties (€16.5 billion; 21%) and retail properties (€14 billion; 17%).

New leases

  • The Unisono chain has joined the ranks of tenants at Designer Outlet Sosnowiec (southern Poland). The women's clothing brand will occupy 115 sq m of space in the facility.
  • Borg Automotive Group will move into new premises at HI Piotrkowska office building in Łódź in February 2025. It will occupy approximately 300 sqm. Brookfield Partners supported the tenant in the negotiation process.
  • TK Maxx shop will be opened at Ferio Konin (central Poland). The brand will occupy 2,000 sqm of space in the extended part of the shopping centre.

New appointments

  • Agnieszka Słomka-Gołębiowska has resigned from her position as a member of the Supervisory Board and chair of the Audit Committee of Ghelamco Invest. The position of member of Ghelamco's Supervisory Board will be filled by Lidia Jabłonowska-Luby. An existing member of the Audit Committee, Jarosław Myjak, was also appointed to act as chairman of the Audit Committee.
  • MLP Group is from now on working with a smaller board of directors. Monika Dobosz has resigned from her position. She had served on the company's board since July 2022, when she was appointed to the board together with Agnieszka Góźdź.
  • After almost eight years at the helm of Savills IM's Polish office, Piotr Trzcinski is leaving the firm. He joined Savills IM in 2017.
