Excellent transportation connectivity via the D1 highway has attracted a significant investment to Přerov, Czech Republic. RC EUROPE will build a modern industrial park that will create thousands of new jobs and strengthen the regional economy. This will make Přerov an attractive location for investors.
The Czech development company RC EUROPE plans to establish a modern industrial and logistics zone in Přerov, located about 300 meters from the future D1 highway extension exit. Specifically, the area between the former Přerov engineering works and the Henčlov district will gradually feature at least three industrial halls. Along with a further phase on land in the Troubky municipality, the company plans to develop more than 110,000 square meters of manufacturing and warehouse space, valued at approximately CZK 3 billion, providing jobs for up to 2,500 people.
RC EUROPE has a long and rich history. It has been operating for more than 19 years, completing hundreds of projects, including retail parks, modern office buildings, and residential complexes. Not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. Specifically in Romania, Serbia and Croatia. In Croatia, near the capital city of Zagreb, the company is building the country’s largest logistics facility, which, once completed, will offer more than 86,000 square meters of manufacturing and warehouse spaces.
The company was brought to Přerov mainly by the newly built D1 highway, which will connect the sections between Brno and Ostrava in a few months and will facilitate the connection to Poland, Slovakia and Austria. A key railway line also passes through Přerov and there are two international airports nearby - Brno and Ostrava. Such a sized transport infrastructure together with the strategic location of the town creates a very interesting investment opportunity. Especially in the field of light industrial production, which is sensitive to sufficient work capacities. This is another great advantage of the region, which has a great tradition of engineering and manufacturing industry.
There are currently more than 350,000 people living within a 30-minute radius of the site and RC EUROPE is confident that the city of Přerov and the surrounding municipalities are able to offer these workers. Moreover, Přerov has a very good reputation among potential investors. "They know about this city, they know that there is a long tradition of Meopta - Optics, Přerov Engineering Works and others. They know the history of those firms, which have generated a lot of skilled people," said company director Antonín Dillenz.
RC EUROPE plans to build three halls in the first phase with a total area of almost 50,000 square meters. These buildings will be among the most modern in the sector and will be equipped with progressive technologies in addition to photovoltaics. Another important aspect of the project is its environmental friendliness. Manufacturing companies are increasingly sensitive to the sustainability of the buildings they use. The planned buildings will therefore meet the most stringent criteria in terms of ecology, energy performance and sustainability. Of course, they will be BREEAM Outstanding certified, and last but not least, they will also be prepared in accordance with ESG principles.
RC EUROPE plans to obtain building permits in early 2025 and the first phase of the project is scheduled for completion in autumn 2026.
