Panattoni has launched construction on a new project in Western Pomerania (northern Poland). Panattoni Park Szczecin V is to reach a size of 30,000 sqm and already its first tenant has been found.  A company from the catering industry has leased 8,600 sqm.

Szczecin is commonly regarded as the gateway to Western and Northern Europe and due to its strategic location with easy access to all modes of transportation it is regarded as an attractive place to do business internationally. The companies the city attracts include logistics and distribution firms as well as e-commerce operators. Currently, the city ranks as the seventh-largest market in the country for warehouse space. Panattoni has now launched its latest project with work having begun on Panattoni Park Szczecin V on Lubczyńska Street.

“Panattoni Park Szczecin V is barely 6 km from the S3 expressway and around 20 minutes from both Szczecin’s city centre and the German border. Our latest project in Western Pomerania, will allow tenants to effectively run operations such as logistics, e-commerce, warehousing and light manufacturing", says Weronika Mioduszewska, an Associate Leasing Director at Panattoni.

Catering industry supplier Bidfood is to be the first tenant in the park. “Due to the rapid growth of our operations in the region, we were looking for well-located modern warehousing space that could be adapted to meet the needs of our business. We chose the Panattoni centre because of its location and because of the developer’s openness to our needs”, says Marcin Matyjasik, Regional director for the North at Bidfood. The client is to use Panattoni Park Szczecin V for the distribution and storage of food products including in refrigeration and freezer units.

“We wish to welcome Bidfood as our new tenant and thank the company management for their open partnership approach, due to which we were able to fully meet their expectations and quickly finalise the entire process", adds Anna Kaźmierska, a Leasing Manager at Panattoni.

As part of the developer’s standard, the centre is to be certified under BREEAM for a rating of Excellent. For the Szczecin project, an LCA has been undertaken as well risk assessments for the climate and flooding covering the next 50 years.
