Panattoni has been granted bank financing for Panattoni Park Zgierz. The €23.3 million loan was issued by PKO Bank Polski.
“Across the Łódź region - Poland’s logistics heartland - we have already delivered over 2.2 million sqm of industrial space, which is one of the largest regional volumes nationwide. There is still a huge need for class A warehouse space in the area so we are grateful to PKO Bank Polski for supporting another one of our developments. Due to its superb location near the country’s main communication routes, Panattoni Park Zgierz has huge potential for logistics both on a national and an international scale. Eventually, the project is to comprise almost 160,000 sqm of space suitable for various operations from warehousing and logistics to manufacturing”, says Karina Trojańska, Chief Financing & Operating Officer at Panattoni.
Panattoni Park Zgierz is a class A logistics centre, which due to its central location near the country’s most important arterial roads, guarantees good conditions for distributing goods both nationally and internationally. The location provides connections with all of Poland’s major cities being directly next to regional road nr 702 as well as just 2.5 km from the A2 motorway and 13 km from the Stryków junction where the A1 crosses the A2. The region’s potential as a key goods hub is further strengthened by the new S14 expressway. Being near both Zgierz and Łódź also provides access to skilled labour.
The project is being developed in stages, the first of which comprising 52,900 sqm has already been completed and leased out to three tenants. Two logistics firms have occupied 21,800 sqm and 3,700 sqm respectively while 8,600 sqm has been leased by a plant distributor and grower.
The complex will undergo BREEAM certification for a rating of Excellent. A series of measures have been planned as part of the project including the reinforcement of the roofs ready for the installation of solar panels, the installation of water and energy-saving systems and the use of numerous solutions to improve the wellbeing of the user.
