The 13th edition of the JLL Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament - starts today. 64 teams will play at the Monta Beach Volley Club in Warsaw to raise funds for charity. The entire amount raised during the event will, for the second time, be used to support the construction of the Ronald McDonald House at the "Pomnik - Centrum Zdrowia Dziecka" Institute. Property Forum is a Media Partner of the event.

On 1 August, 64 teams representing the most important real estate companies and agencies will compete in the 13th edition of the JLL Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament. A record number of teams have declared their presence, hoping not only to win but also to raise as much money as possible for the construction of the Ronald McDonald House at the "Pomnik - Centrum Zdrowia Dziecka" Institute. These houses are being built in the immediate vicinity of paediatric hospitals to provide families with comfortable accommodation, utility facilities and the opportunity to prepare home-cooked meals. They also make it possible to bring siblings from home so that the whole family can be together, even when the treatment of a sick child takes place far from home.

Organised since 2010 by JLL, the event integrates and unites key representatives of the industry every year for a worthy cause. All of the tournament’s past editions have raised a total of nearly PLN 5 million, all of which have been donated to charity. During last year's event alone, a sum of PLN 810,000 was raised, which JLL donated to support the construction of the third Ronald McDonald House.

"We are immensely proud that for the second time, we will be supporting the wonderful institution that is the Ronald McDonald Foundation. By uniting the entire industry, together we want to contribute to the completion of the third Ronald McDonald House in Poland. The event is once again attracting huge interest, which shows how effectively we can work together for a good cause", comments Mateusz Bonca, CEO of JLL Poland.

The event will be commentated by Łukasz Kadziewicz - journalist of Przegląd Sportowy Onet.pl and former player of the Polish national volleyball team. A record number of 64 teams have signed up for the tournament, which will see a total of over 120 games played. After the tournament and the presentation of prizes to the winners, there will be an after-party, during which a charity auction will be held. The fundraising will be further complemented by an Allegro auction, where it will be possible to bid for a number of attractive items. The auction started on 29 July and will last for 10 days.

This year, JLL is continuing its partnership with the Ronald McDonald Foundation, which supports families of hospitalised children on a daily basis. The foundation's mission: "For the family to be together", is in line with the values and the idea of the tournament, which is why the funds raised during this year's edition will again be donated to the construction of the third Ronald McDonald House. The House will help the families of the longest-serving children, patients of the "Pomnik - Centrum Zdrowia Dziecka" Institute in Warsaw. The Third House - just like the two Ronald McDonald Houses operating for years in Krakow and Warsaw - will be open to whole families of patients from oncology and haematology neonatology wards and those cases where the treatment process requires patience and time.

"We are delighted to see such a high level of commitment from all the teams who will play to support our foundation's mission - 'For the family to be together'. The heart of our work is the family, so we warmly invite everyone to support us together and visit our zone during the tournament. This is a very important event, an uplifting one, as the final of our joint efforts will be the third Ronald McDonald House in Poland! We thank JLL and the entire industry, we thank you on behalf of public paediatric medicine. We are the voice of parents, children and medical teams in these thanks!", says Katarzyna Rodziewicz, President and Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald Foundation.

The games will begin at 9:00 a.m. and run until 6:30 p.m. Admission to the matches is free, and the organisers encourage the whole family to follow the games on the day of the tournament.
