The winter port in Bratislava and its future change into a mixed-used urban district is a relatively hot topic. Alfa Group International has launched the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for its planned hotel near the winter port, reports Yimba.sk.
Hotel FT2 is being prepared on a plot of land in the areas currently unused, with the vicinity of the Winter Port, a gas station, a tennis court, a student dormitory and administrative buildings.
The Hungarian developer Alfa Group International, which mainly focuses on developing logistics and retail spaces, wants to use the potential of a location with good transport connections.
The hotel will have 14 above-ground floors and two underground floors. At ground level, there will be an entrance hall, reception, lobby bar, sales premises, hotel facilities, supply and parking. 260 double rooms and 23 four-bed suites (92 beds) are proposed. The plan also includes elements of blue-green infrastructure.
The investor estimates the start of construction in Q2 2027, it should be completed two years later. Commissioning is expected in the second half of 2029. Estimated costs are €36 million.
