Romanian online retailer eMAG is investing €90 million in a new logistics centre near Bucharest. Construction works for the 130,000 sqm facility will begin this month and completion is scheduled for September next year. By July 2022, all automations and technologies at the centre should be operational.
Located at km 19 on the A1 highway between Bucharest and Nadlac, the new logistics centre will help to increase the range of available products and improve deliveries, while also providing the infrastructure for an accelerated development of digital entrepreneurs' businesses through eMAG Marketplace.
The new unit will be supplied with green energy by 40,000 sqm of solar panels.
