Zeus buys Warsaw office building from Hines

Hines and Zeus Capital Management announced the completion of the sale and purchase of the Graffit building in Warsaw. The property owned by Hines Russia & Poland Fund (HRPF) was sold to TAN Poland Sp. z o.o., a company managed by Zeus Capital Management. This is Zeus’ first investment in Poland and it is part of its commercial real estate platform dedicated to Central and South East Europe.

New developments on Poland’s retail market

New retail supply amounted to approximately 420,000 sqm in 2018, pushing Poland’s total retail stock up by 3% to 14.7 million sqm. Nearly 30% of the new supply was completed in small-scale shopping centres and retail parks (sized below 20,000 sqm). Colliers International sees the most important macro indicator for CEE in 2019, Eurozone interest rates, flat-lining at zero. Lower levels of new supply on Warsaw’s office market

Cromwell Property Group sells Brno industrial park

Cromwell Property Group has completed the sale of the Pohořelice Industrial Park to an undisclosed buyer for an undisclosed sum. The 44,444 sqm complex, which is situated about 27 km south of Brno, comprises a logistics building, a fully-refurbished cross-dock building and a workshop together with an assembly unit. The asset formed part of the Cromwell European Industrial Fund (CEIF) portfolio.

CEE smashes real estate investment records in 2018

According to JLL, CEE's real estate investment transactional volume for 2018 was in excess of €13.23 billion and recorded an 11% increase over 2017 (€11.92 billion). JLL has registered continued appetite from investors for the full range of assets across the entire region. Poland smashed its previous record volume set in 2006 (€5.05 billion) with a spectacular €7.2 billion traded, and secured a massive regional share of 54%. Poland was followed by the Czech Republic (€2.51 billion - 19% share), Hungary (€1.85 billion - 14%), Romania (€900 million - 7%) and Slovakia (€820 million - 6%).

New leases

  • Amsterdam Standard, a Dutch technology company has moved into Kraków's Porto Office B office building. Its new office occupies nearly 600 sqm.
  • The brands Join UP! and SkyUpTM, previous tenants of space in the Adgar Wave office building in Warsaw, are relocating. They will continue to rent offices from Adgar Poland. The companies have moved into a 900-square-metre office previously occupied by employees of the building's owner.
  • An electronics manufacturer has leased nearly 11,000 sqm of manufacturing space at Prologis Park Wrocław V. The tenant belongs to a larger group of companies based in Hong Kong.This is the company's first headquarters in Poland.

New appointments

  • Dariusz Blocher has resigned from the position of chair of Unibep. The supervisory board has appointed Andrzej Sterczyński as president of the company from January 1st, 2025.
  • Agnieszka Słomka-Gołębiowska has resigned from her position as a member of the Supervisory Board and chair of the Audit Committee of Ghelamco Invest. The position of member of Ghelamco's Supervisory Board will be filled by Lidia Jabłonowska-Luby. An existing member of the Audit Committee, Jarosław Myjak, was also appointed to act as chairman of the Audit Committee.
  • MLP Group is from now on working with a smaller board of directors. Monika Dobosz has resigned from her position. She had served on the company's board since July 2022, when she was appointed to the board together with Agnieszka Góźdź.
