Katarina Horvathova is a Senior Transaction Manager with 13 years of experience in the CEE commercial property market in transaction and asset management functions. Beforehand she worked in business advisory and private equity. Katarina joined Macquarie in 2019 (back then under the brand name GLL) and has been responsible for acquisitions and divestments in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Romania. She is based in the Czech Republic. Katarina started her professional career with EY UK in London in the tax department. In 2010 she joined the private equity division of Penta Investments working on several acquisitions in the banking, healthcare and energy sectors. In 2012 she joined CBRE IM where she worked both as a transaction and asset manager before taking on the role with Macquarie as VP for transactions for the CEE region where her primary responsibility is to grow the investment presence of the company in the region. Katarina is Slovak/ Hungarian and holds a BA in Economics and International Relations from Oxford Brookes University, an MSc in Management from Imperial College London and an MSc in Real Estate Investment Management and Finance from the University of Reading.
