Henri is the Director of Transactions Shopping Places at Union Investment Real Estate, based in Hamburg and is responsible for European retail real estate acquisitions and disposals. He specialises in Shopping Places across Europe and is also responsible for high street, convenience assets and retail parks in the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Poland and Czech. Henri has worked in real estate research since 2004, with former positions as fund manager at ECE Real Estate Partners within the Shopping Centre Funds Portfolio Management as well as M&A throughout Europe. Prior he worked in Seoul at JLL advising international real investors on core-to-value investment strategies in Korea. He started his career at DZ Hyp within the commercial real estate lending team with a focus on office, shopping, logistics, hotel and residential throughout Germany. In 2024 Henri was elected to the Advisory Board of the GCSP (German Council of Shopping Places). He holds an MBA in international real estate management from Akademie der Hochschule Biberach, holds a BA in Banking and Finance from ADG Business School and is a former MRICS.
