Erik graduated from the University of Zagreb with a bachelor’s degree in business and later obtained a master’s degree in management. He began his career at Raiffeisen Bank Croatia, initially as a Retail Credit Risk Associate before transitioning to the Investment Banking division, where he spent 4 years in the DCM department, specializing in corporate and government bond issuances, including ESG bonds. After 5 years at Raiffeisen Bank Croatia, he moved to Raiffeisen Bank International in Vienna, joining the Sustainable Finance Department. In this role, he focuses on steering the RBI ESG loan portfolio for Sustainable Bond and Sustainable Deposit products and on supporting Raiffeisen network banks in the CEE region when it comes to ESG funding topics. He also holds the Certified Expert in Sustainable Finance (CESFi) certificate from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
