Dávid Vitézy is the Chair of the Committee for Transport, Climate Action and Urban Development in the Budapest City Assembly and an assembly member. He is the Chair of the Transport Division of the Hungarian Society of Urban Planning. He finished his studies at the Budapest University of Technology. He was a public transport activist in his early career. In 2010 he became the founding CEO of BKK (Centre for Budapest Transport), Budapest's integrated transport authority inspired by Transport for London serving for four years. He led later the Hungarian Museum of Technology and Transport and has been the CEO of the Budapest Development Agency (BFK), a government investment agency for Budapest and its metropolitan area. In 2024 he ran for Mayor of Budapest and finished second with 47% of the votes.
