As a hotelier since 1995, Calin Ile is very involved in promoting tourism in Romania, intending to make tourism a priority industry of the national economy. Calin has distinguished himself as one of the most active hoteliers in the country, working for more than 20 years as manager of 3, 4 and 5-star hotels in Bucharest, Brasov, Constanta, Timisoara, and Sibiu. Currently, he is a Senior Partner at Premier Hospitality, one of the leading companies in tourism consulting and hotel management. Together with Lucian Marinescu and Sebastian Mandroiu, Calin has written an Investor's Guide in the hotel industry, a complex work that analyzes in 12 chapters all the necessary steps for the development of a successful investment in a hotel. He is an active supporter of responsible tourism, being for 3 years in charge of the CSR part of the Accor hotel group in Romania. In this position, he has had the opportunity to support important causes such as the Plant for the Planet project through which more than 3 million trees were planted in the forests of Transylvania.
