Balazs Faluvegi graduated as an Economist in 2001, Banking Expert in 2002 and Investment Analyst (EFFAS) in 2007. He holds the Wealth-, Fund- Portfolio Management (VAP) exam and the Chartered Market Technician Level 3 exam from the Market Technicians Association. Balazs also completed the US SIF Fundamentals of Sustainable and Impact Investment course, and becames the first in Hungary to receive the Certified European Environmental, Social and Governance Analyst (CEESGA) diploma. He started his career in 1997 at a Fund Management company, worked at an investment brokerage and a research firm as an analyst. From 2007 held portfolio management and leadership positions at Fund Management companies. Balazs also took part in founding a wealth management firm, with a successful IPO in 2013. In 2015 he became a co-founder and CEO of the first CEE robo-advisor startup, which became the first of its kind in all Europe by focusing on Socially Responsible Investing in an automated way. The company was awarded the Best Fintech Startup Award by the Central European Startup Awards in Hungary, and received the Best Fintech for Sustainable Finance award at BBVA’s global Open Talent competition. The company was sold in 2021 to one of the biggest Hungarian Banks. Balazs was also the co-founder and Chairman of the Hungarian Fintech Association.
