Anna Walkowska is the Chief Technology Officer, Global Business Developer, and Co-founder of ProperGate.co, a pioneering smart construction logistics technology firm established in 2018. Recognized globally by CEMEX and PWC as one of the TOP 50 best construction technologies, ProperGate.co has been implemented by the industry's leading companies. In 2021, Anna was honoured by BuiltWorlds Chicago as one of the Top 5 Technologist Mavericks, alongside leaders from Trimble and Autodesk. Anna is also the founder of Contech Poland, a working group dedicated to promoting the development and implementation of sustainable innovations in the construction industry. Previously, Anna was a dynamic force in the Polish startup ecosystem, co-founding impactful initiatives such as the Startup Poland Foundation, Reaktor Warsaw Startup Mansion, and Startup Grind Warsaw. Her career began in IT security, where she worked for major banks including the Dutch ABN AMRO and the British Royal Bank of Scotland. Notably, in 2007, she became the first woman in Poland to earn CISSP certification. Anna holds degrees in System Administration and Network Programming from the Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology, and a Master’s in Management in Telecommunication from the Warsaw School of Information Technology.
