Popeyes is to open its first Warsaw restaurant in Złote Tarasy on 21 September. The fast food chain from Louisiana is the seventh new tenant to come to Złote Tarasy in 2023 after such brands as LUSH, Candy Pop, and Hugo. Cushman & Wakefield, which is responsible for the re-commercialisation and property management for the scheme, expects to see more international debuts in Złote Tarasy later this year.

Popeyes Famous Louisiana Chicken has become a cult classic since it was founded in 1972. Its restaurants offer a taste of the American South, well-known for fried chicken and seafood. The first Popeyes restaurant was opened in Wrocław in July this year. The time has now come for Warsaw.

“Złote Tarasy is one of the best-known shopping centres in Poland. It boasts a diverse mix of retail, service and F&B outlets which it continues to expand and enhance. This year’s newcomers, in addition to Popeyes, include Eobuwie/Modivo, LUSH, Candy Pop, Ryłko, Hugo, Cofix, and Zdrowa Krowa. Openings scheduled to take place in the run-up to Christmas include an Italian restaurant and wine store and a store of a fashion retailer that will debut on the Polish market”, comments Anna Oberc-Krzycka, Leasing Team Manager, Cushman & Wakefield.

In addition, many tenants who have their flagship concepts in Złote Tarasy continue to consistently improve the in-store experience. Brands that have increased their retail floorspace or opened revamped stores in 2023 include CCC, Vision Express, Kruk, Wedel, New Balance, Boss, Samsonite, Costa, Cava, Five O’Clock, Tous, and Lego Build and Play.

“Additionally, Carrefour has decided to renew its lease for another 10 years. The grocery retailer’s supermarket in Złote Tarasy will soon undergo significant change, with new fit-out and functionality features to be added that shoppers are likely to appreciate,” adds Anna Oberc-Krzycka.

Złote Tarasy is a five-level shopping centre with an area of over 66,000 sq m. It has a portfolio of 180+ stores, including Van Graff, Converse, Victoria’s Secret, Guess, Lacoste, LUSH, Sephora, Douglas, MAC, Marc O’Polo, Massimo Dutti, and New Balance. Food retailers include Kuchnie Świata, Lindt, Nespresso, Lukullus, Organic Farma Zdrowia, and Five O’Clock.
