by Property Forum | Investment

ZDR Investments Group has acquired the Tesco hypermarket in Senec, east of Bratislava, from Tatra Asset Management. Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller in their divestment.

The acquisition of the Tesco hypermarket will complement the retail park in Senec already owned by ZDR Investments, purchased in December 2020. The leasable area of the hypermarket is 4,750 sqm and it is located directly opposite the retail park with an area of 3,656 sqm.

The hypermarket will complement the portfolio of the retail real estate fund ZDR Investments Public SICAV a.s. The purchase of the Tesco hypermarket further increases the share of food stores in ZDR’s portfolio. The almost 45% share of the grocery segment in the portfolio, combined with the average remaining lease term of the entire portfolio of 8 years, means a solid basis for a long-term stable return for investors, according to the new owner.

Following the acquisition, ZDR Investments Group owns a total of 42 commercial properties worth CZK 6.1 billion, including seven properties in Slovakia. The share of Slovak properties in the Group's portfolio is currently 20%.
