YIT has launched pre-sales of the second phase of its Portti Kladno project outside Prague. The first phase with 85 residential units has now been sold to a housing cooperative.

The entire Portti Kladno complex will be built on a brownfield site of former cold storage facilities. YIT currently has 102 apartments in pre-sales.

“New housing in Kladno is currently in high demand not only by locals, but also by many interested clients who cannot buy an apartment in Prague due to high prices, but need to commute to the capital regularly. The journey by train or bus takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes, and the planned high-speed railway will speed it up in the future,” explains Marek Lokaj, CEO at YIT Stavo.

YIT has concluded the selling transaction for the first phase with the Portti Kladno Housing Cooperative. Marek Lokaj adds: “Cooperative housing is a good alternative for those interested in new housing who have difficulty obtaining mortgage financing due to current conditions, high interest rates and income verification.”

Construction of this phase with cooperative housing has already begun and YIT expects its completion in the fall of 2026.
