GLP announced today that its new Warsaw II Logistics Centre has received its occupancy permit and leased a 6,000 sqm unit to Omida Group, one of the most recognisable TSL brands in Poland.

The 32,000 sqm logistics centre in Wypędy, near Warsaw, is GLP’s first project in the Polish market. It is located close to Warsaw’s southern border, next to Expressway S8 and the Wypędy Junction, which enables easy access to Expressway S2 and Motorway A2.

The logistics centre benefits from many features including an additional 2 metres of clear height (a total of 12 metres), loading spaces with a depth of 24 metres for efficient loading/unloading, a reinforced solar-panel-ready roof and reinforced floors in the entire facility. The facility has also received a BREEAM “Very Good” certification.

“At just three minutes from the city limits, the location allows for more efficient logistics operations as well as happier employees – in addition to the new design standards, these are the main strengths of Warsaw II Logistics Centre. I’m happy to see Omida become the first customer to use dedicated space for companies that want to gain an advantage in this competitive market. Given the high demand for warehouse properties in the immediate vicinity of Warsaw, we’re ready to launch new projects soon: next to Expressway S8 in Kobyłka and near Motorway A2 in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. Both will comply with the high GLP Design Standard,” says Tomasz Arent, Business Development Manager responsible for the Warsaw region at GLP Poland.
