European developer and owner of semi-industrial and logistics properties VGP has acquired a new tenant for its logistics park VGP Park Kladno in the Kladno East industrial zone. It is the Danish company Kvadrat, which focuses on interior design and is entering the domestic market, VGP announced.
The Danish company Kvadrat, a leader in interior design with a focus on the production of fabrics, carpets and other textile products for architects, designers and end-users worldwide, will lease a total of 11,250 sqm of production and warehouse space in VGP Park Kladno, together with administrative facilities. According to VGP, the new hall will be built to BREEAM Very Good green certification and will be delivered for use in June this year. CBRE is managing the tenant's brokerage.
"The entry of another renowned company into the domestic market once again confirms how Czech logistics real estate is currently thriving. Interest in locations close to major urban centres remains strong with a limited supply of quality space. VGP Park Kladno benefits from its location as it is just one kilometre from the city centre and 15 km from Prague and Václav Havel International Airport Prague," comments David Plzák, VGP Country Manager for the Czech Republic.
VGP Park Kladno is a new complex with premises suitable for industrial, logistics and commercial activities. It has a total leasable area of more than 25,000 sqm.
"Finding currently available industrial and logistics space in the vicinity of the metropolis is almost a miracle. Even more so if you are looking for a tailor-made project. Kvadrat only required a stand-alone hall of approximately 10,000 sqm. We consider it a real success that we were able to secure the ideal space to suit all requirements. The negotiations themselves were very quick: we signed the exclusive lease agreement within a month, to everyone's satisfaction," comments Ivana Watson, CBRE's consultant for industrial and logistics properties.
