News Article Unmanned Żabka Nano opens in Aeropark in Warsaw
by Property Forum | Retail

Starting this summer, an unmanned Żabka Nano store operates in Aeropark Business Centre, owned by GTC.

The new Żabka Nano offers a complete self-service shopping experience to residents and visitors of Aeropark Business Centre. Its concept is based on advanced technologies such as image processing models using artificial intelligence algorithms for customer service and intelligent solutions for power management, security, and store availability. Fully integrated with the Żappka app, there is no checkout or service, and all the shopping can be done with the help of a smartphone. Before entering Żabka Nano store, the app generates a one-time, facility-specific QR code that must be scanned with the reader at the door. After scanning the code, the door opens automatically.  The payment for the purchase is automatically debited from the account connected to the application. The outlet is available 24/7.

"We are excited to see our new fully self-service concept taking off, with more companies like GTC choosing to enhance their office premises with Żabka Nano. A fusion of the offline and online worlds, Żabka Nano brings a new value to the market, making convenient shopping possible in seconds. We hope Aeropark’s self-service store will fully satisfy the tenant community, resulting in fruitful cooperation with more of innovative Żabka Nano stores appearing in GTC’s offices across Poland:, said Paweł Grabowski, Head of Unmanned Solutions in Żabka Future.

"We see an increased demand for a fast, convenient, and safe shopping experience among our tenants. At the same time, thinking long-term about the development of our offices’ service offer, we focus on high-tech solutions that provide new experiences and facilitate everyday life. Whether it’s grabbing a snack on the go or getting lunch, we are confident that the new self-service Żabka Nano store will fully cover our tenants’ needs. The innovative contactless format powered by Żappka app also makes the shopping experience more exciting. Open 24 hours, with no shopping attendants or cash registers, it will perfectly match the Aeropark service offer", said Marcin Dondalski, Leasing Manager GTC Poland.

Cushman & Wakefield represented GTC, the owner of Aeropark Business Centre, in this deal.
