U•Center Phase 1, the office project in Bucharest owned by Pavăl Holding, has obtained the WELL Core certification at the Platinum level with a score of 91. The owner and Forte Partners, the developer of the building, said this is the highest score in Romania for this type of certification.
The certification is awarded to buildings that are used more than 75% by tenant companies, based on the assessment of ten categories that influence employee health and well-being. The developer of the project aims to get similar certifications for the second phase of the U-Center project, which is slated for delivery in Q3 2023.
Real estate consultancy Colliers worked on the certification process for U•Center Phase 1.
"Energy efficiency, the use of natural light in common and work areas, safety, biophilic design, functionality and air quality are central to the office buildings we develop and are reflected throughout our portfolio in this segment," said Stephen Burke, Construction Director at Forte Partners.
U•Center office project has also achieved, over the past two years, LEED v4 Platinum certification with a score of 85.
