UBM Development Czechia is completing the Timber Praha residential project, the first sustainable timber apartment building in Prague. Unlike multi-storey foreign projects, this one has reached a height of four floors, i.e. 12 meters of fire height.

A boutique project of residential buildings in the Prague-Řeporyje district offers 62 apartments ranging in size from 39 to 110 sqm. The Platform for Sustainable Wood Construction participates in systematic changes to legislation in the Czech Republic. Its establishment was initiated by UBM Development Czechia together with the architectural and implementation company Prodesi/Domesi, focused on timber buildings. Within more than a year of operation, the Platform contributed to the intensification and completion of the standard-setting process. It will now be possible to build buildings with a construction system made of timber above a fire height of 12 m, using the so-called engineering method.

UBM Development focuses on wooden structures, green buildings and smart offices in Vienna, Munich, Frankfurt and Prague. In 2024, it already has over 300,000 sqm of wooden buildings in the pipeline. UBM has been operating in the Czech market since 1993. Currently, UBM is building the Arcus City residential complex in Prague 5, in which 150 apartments have already been approved, the first multi-storey wooden apartment buildings Timber Praha and the Astrid Garden residential project in Prague 7. It is preparing a residential project in Prague 5 across from Smíchov railway station.
