As commercial real estate evolves to meet sustainability goals, rooftop solar systems are becoming a key solution for property owners and tenants alike. With the increasing demand for energy efficiency and the push toward decarbonization, rooftop solar solutions offer significant environmental, economic, and strategic benefits for the real estate sector. The new report "Harnessing Your Rooftop: A Guide to Photovoltaic Projects in Commercial Buildings in CEE", released by CBRE and CMS, provides an analysis of the opportunities and challenges associated with rooftop solar installations across the CEE region.

Ultimately, more than 10 MW of green energy from photovoltaic farms will power Warsaw UNIT, an office building developed and owned by Ghelamco. It is the first skyscraper in Poland entirely powered by green energy. Funding for the innovative remote farm project was provided by ESCOlight, and the contractor is Revolt Energy, part of the Blachotrapez Group.

Panattoni Park Pilsen West II has a new tenant, Panasonic Heating & Ventilation Air-Conditioning Czech. The hall's premises with a total area of over 24,600 sqm will be used for the production and storage of control boards for air conditioners and heat pumps manufactured in the Czech Republic.

In March 2023, the Delta Planet Mall retail centre, located in Varna, Bulgaria, inaugurated an innovative photovoltaic solar installation. The investment of nearly €500,000 (BGN 1 million) covers the construction of 1,029 solar panels with a total capacity of 556 kW.
