Slovakia's tallest building has only 40m to go

The tallest building in Slovakia, Eurovea Tower is rising in Bratislava by the Danube. With the completion of the 38th floor, the tower has reached 125 metres, the milestone by which it has become the highest building in the country already and has 40 metres still to come. By the end of 2022, Eurovea will be with the 47 floors and 168 metres the 1st skyscraper in the country, developer JTRE announced.

Slovakia's housing completions fall in Q1 2022

The number of completed flats in Slovakia has fallen year-on-year in the first quarter of 2022.  Construction around Bratislava has also been on a downward trend for several quarters. However, three Slovak regions report the opposite trend with a dynamic increase in the number of completed apartments. Bratislava's Aupark adds photovoltaic panels

Bratislava's Aupark shopping centre, owned by Wood & Company and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, is adding another step to improve its sustainable management. In addition to sorting, low-energy lighting and water conservation, it is now installing hundreds of photovoltaic panels on its roof. Bratislava has a new plan for recovering the old town

Since the 1970s, the centre of Bratislava's Old Town has been divided by the multi-stream road Staroměstská Street. The City Hall, together with the Bratislava Metropolitan Institute, now has a plan to improve the area. They want to build a park and a large pedestrian plaza above the road to bring the divided city together and add a new residential and recreational space to the city, the Slovak capital's city hall has announced.

New leases

  • Thinslices, a tech company incorporated in Iași, with operations in Berlin, Lisbon and London, has relocated its HQ in Iulius-based UBC 2 office building. The new office spans an area of around 500 sqm.
  • MLP Group has signed a lease agreement with Langowski Logistics, a logistics operator specializing in international container transport. The company will occupy over 5,600 square meters of space in the MLP Pruszków II complex. The tenant was supported in concluding the agreement by Newmark Polska.
  • Nest Leasing has joined the group of tenants of the Teal office building in the Off Piotrkowska Center complex in Łódź. The company will occupy nearly 250 sqm of space.

New appointments

  • Dom Development has announced changes to its Management Board. Monika Dobosz will become a Member and Vice-president of the Management Board. In this position, she will replace Leszek Stankiewicz, who has submitted a declaration of resignation from this position. Dobosz will be responsible for the company's finances.
  • Dariusz Blocher has resigned from the position of chair of Unibep. The supervisory board has appointed Andrzej Sterczyński as president of the company from January 1st, 2025.
  • Agnieszka Słomka-Gołębiowska has resigned from her position as a member of the Supervisory Board and chair of the Audit Committee of Ghelamco Invest. The position of member of Ghelamco's Supervisory Board will be filled by Lidia Jabłonowska-Luby. An existing member of the Audit Committee, Jarosław Myjak, was also appointed to act as chairman of the Audit Committee.
