DIY retailer Leroy Merlin has leased around 11,000 sqm for a new store that will open in Iași-based Mall Moldova during H1 2025. 

Repaco Capital and Weststar Real Estate have delivered the Crevedia Retail Park, near Bucharest, following an investment of €15 million that was partly financed by BT.

Cushman & Wakefield has summarised the situation in the Polish retail market. Over half a million square meters of new retail space came on stream last year, marking the highest new supply level in Poland since 2015. This robust development activity occurred amid rising demand from new retailers and improving consumer sentiment which boosted retail sales.

M Core, the biggest owner of retail parks in Romania, has purchased Shopping City Suceava from Argo Capital, for an undisclosed sum.

According to the latest report by Avison Young, after a challenging period of investment slowdown in 2023, the 2024 results signal a return to stability and a hint of optimism. Poland’s total transaction volume in 2024 more than doubled compared to 2023, reflecting a significant resurgence in market activity.

The Myslbek office and retail complex on Prague’s centrally located Na Příkopě Street has been purchased by Max Realitní Fund. 

Even though the volume of commercial real estate delivered to the market in 2024 was below average, the Czech market did not freeze and maintained its activity. This was mainly thanks to the Czech capital, according to Colliers' experts, and this trend will continue in 2025.

pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank (pbb) has underwritten an investment facility for a retail portfolio in Poland for Pine Bridge Benson Elliot. The portfolio consists of three shopping centres in Łódź, Toruń and Kraków in Poland. 

The new shopping centre, developed by Acteeum Group and Falcon Investment Management, will be located in the centre of Siemianowice Śląskie (Silesia, southern Poland). Covering 18,000 sqm of GLA, it will offer customers a selection of 45 stores, dining opportunities, and 550 parking spaces. The opening of the facility is scheduled for the second half of 2026.

Realia Fund Sicav has ended the previous year by acquiring a retail park in Stod City in the Pilsen region. With the completion of this purchase, the value of the fund's portfolio rose to CZK 2.35 billion (€93 million).
