Żabka opens its store no. 8000 in Poland

The 8000th store of the Żabka chain was opened on February 10th. The facility is located in the area of Sieraków, a town located on the edge of the Notecka Forest, between two lakes: Jaroszewskie and Lutomskie. It is the first Żabka store in this town, run by a local franchisee.

Mitiska REIM sells Polish retail park to AB Tewox

Mitiska REIM has today announced that following the successful completion of its value creation programme, it has completed the sale of Retail Park Młyn in Wroclaw to AB Tewox, an investment company managed by Lords LB Asset Management. The retail park was originally acquired by Mitiska REIM in July 2015 on behalf of the First Retail International fund (FRI).

BNPPRE sums up busy end of the year for investors in Poland

Over €5.7 billion - this is how much investors spent on commercial real estate in Poland throughout 2021, of which in the last quarter alone, the amount attained over €2.2 billion. The latest report prepared by BNP Paribas Real Estate Poland indicates that the past year was marked by a further strengthening of the logistics and industrial sector, making up for losses by retail and the continued battle against Covid's shortage of breath in the office sector.

New leases

  • The Unisono chain has joined the ranks of tenants at Designer Outlet Sosnowiec (southern Poland). The women's clothing brand will occupy 115 sq m of space in the facility.
  • Borg Automotive Group will move into new premises at HI Piotrkowska office building in Łódź in February 2025. It will occupy approximately 300 sqm. Brookfield Partners supported the tenant in the negotiation process.
  • TK Maxx shop will be opened at Ferio Konin (central Poland). The brand will occupy 2,000 sqm of space in the extended part of the shopping centre.

New appointments

  • Agnieszka Słomka-Gołębiowska has resigned from her position as a member of the Supervisory Board and chair of the Audit Committee of Ghelamco Invest. The position of member of Ghelamco's Supervisory Board will be filled by Lidia Jabłonowska-Luby. An existing member of the Audit Committee, Jarosław Myjak, was also appointed to act as chairman of the Audit Committee.
  • MLP Group is from now on working with a smaller board of directors. Monika Dobosz has resigned from her position. She had served on the company's board since July 2022, when she was appointed to the board together with Agnieszka Góźdź.
  • After almost eight years at the helm of Savills IM's Polish office, Piotr Trzcinski is leaving the firm. He joined Savills IM in 2017.
