Global real estate industry remains strong, says PwC

Despite being late in its cycle, the global real estate market is benefiting from strong returns for investors and a positive global economic outlook, according to Emerging Trends in Real Estate – The Global Outlook for 2018, an annual forecast of global real estate investor sentiment published jointly by PwC and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). The report notes that in this highly competitive, late-cycle property market, the real estate industry must embrace technology, new business models, and the concept of “space as a service”.

New leases

Mömax, a furniture retailer that is part of the Austrian chain XXXLutz, will open a store of approximately 5,000 sqm within Bucharest-based Vitantis Shopping Center, owned by Omer Susli.
Fitness Academy will join the group of tenants in Wrocław's Swobodna Spot office building. The chain will occupy 1,500 sqm of space on the first floor of the building.
Fabryka Formy has leased approximately 1,000 sqm in KTW II office building in Katowice. The leasing process was supported by Colliers.

New appointments

Tomasz Chojnacki has taken up the position of Deputy Head of the Office Department of CBRE Poland. In his new role, he is responsible for the management and development of the office sector and the development of a coherent business plan for all services for clients in this market segment.
Mantor E2K, a company specialized in industrial and logistics constructions, has appointed Radu Vlad as its Business Development Manager. He brings over 20 years of experience in industrial and real estate project development to the role, having coordinated projects with a combined value exceeding €180 million.
At the beginning of February, Michał Chodecki became the head of the Warehouse & Logistics department of Savills Poland. The new director is responsible for the strategy and direction-setting of this business line and building relationships with key clients.
