MLP Group aims to increase occupancy rates

Last year MLP Group recorded very good results as regards contracts signed with tenants. During the period, the Polish developer of logistics facilities leased in approximately 240,000 sqm of space. The largest number of contracts were signed at the MLP Pruszków II park near Warsaw and MLP Poznań West. This year the level of commercialisation is planned to go up by about 20%.

HB Reavis secures record-breaking funding for Varso Tower

A syndicate of four banks granted HB Reavis a loan for refinancing the Varso Place project, a mixed-use scheme in central Warsaw. The total amount of €475 million makes it the largest non-portfolio loan in the history of the commercial real estate market in Poland and one of the biggest in Central and Eastern Europe. The last stage of Varso Place, Varso Tower, was delivered in 2022.

Torus to build city logistics warehouse in Gdynia

A new inner city warehouse, Gdynia City Logistics, will be built in Gdynia on Północna Street, just 9 km from the city centre, less than 30 minutes drive from the airport and 10 minutes from Gdynia Port. Kajima Poland to redevelop City Point Targówek in Warsaw

Peakside Capital Advisors has selected a general contractor for phase 1 redevelopment of the City Point Targówek urban logistics park. The contract will be executed on an EPC basis by Kajima Poland. Phase 1 demolition work is currently in progress. Ultimately City Point Targówek is to provide nearly 100,000 sqm of warehouse and office space, meeting the highest standards in sustainability. Handover of the first building to tenants is expected to take place by the end of this year.

New leases

  • The Nike brand has joined the group of tenants at Warsaw's Wola Park shopping centre. The chain's new outlet took up an area of over 1,000 sqm. The store has been opened using the Nike Rise concept.
  • The Venezia brand will join the group of tenants of Gemini Park Tarnów (southern Poland). The chain's first shop in the city will occupy an area of 130 sqm.
  • Lipton Teas and Infusions will lease more than 1,300 sqm of office space in the Global Office Park complex in Katowice (Silesia, southern Poland), developed by Cavatina Holding.

New appointments

  • Tomasz Chojnacki has taken up the position of Deputy Head of the Office Department of CBRE Poland. In his new role, he is responsible for the management and development of the office sector and the development of a coherent business plan for all services for clients in this market segment.
  • Mantor E2K, a company specialized in industrial and logistics constructions, has appointed Radu Vlad as its Business Development Manager. He brings over 20 years of experience in industrial and real estate project development to the role, having coordinated projects with a combined value exceeding €180 million.
  • At the beginning of February, Michał Chodecki became the head of the Warehouse & Logistics department of Savills Poland. The new director is responsible for the strategy and direction-setting of this business line and building relationships with key clients.
