Globalworth confirms the closing of the acquisition of two office buildings in Poland for a total transaction value of €113 million. Retro Office House in Wroclaw and Silesia Star in Katowice offer over 50,000 sqm of modern office space, and through the companies present in these properties add approximately 10,000 new employees and visitors to Globalworth’s Polish portfolio community, which is now 110,000 strong on a daily basis.

Parties to the largest lease transaction in the history of the Polish office sector included Golub GetHouse and Mennica Polska SA, investors in the Warsaw-based Mennica Legacy Tower and mBank, which ultimately leased 45,600 sqm of the investment. The building has been fully commercialised a few months before the completion of construction works.

Czech investor Zeitgeist Asset Management announced a new investment on the housing market in Poland. The planned residential asset at ul. Wrzesińska 2, will expand the company’s offer of rental housing. JLL experts advised the investor on the purchase of the property.

In the first half of the year, developers delivered 215,000 sqm of new retail space in Poland, with six international brands making their debuts in the country. JLL summarised conditions on Poland's retail market at the end of H1 2019.

In the first half of this year, MLP Group signed 22 lease contracts for a total of 217,000 sqm of warehouse space in Poland, Germany and Romania. This is more than double the previous year’s figure, of just over 100,000 sqm.

Immofinanz has successfully finalised the acquisition of the Warsaw Spire Tower through the purchase of the respective real estate holding companies. The closing took place today, 11 July 2019, following the release of the transaction by the Polish antitrust authorities. The sellers are the Ghelamco Group, which completed the tower in 2016, and Madison International Realty, a global real estate private equity firm. The agreed property value for the office tower equals roughly €386.0 million. The expected annual rental income based on invoiced rents totals approximately €19.6 million.

Atrium European Real Estate Limited has completed €341 million of transactions in Poland comprising the disposal of two assets and an acquisition.

Globalworth has worked with Signify to deliver the first implementation of a light-wave wireless communication solution in the CEE region. Trulifi is available in the Warsaw office building Spektrum Tower. Investments in new technologies improving the use of the office buildings managed by the company are one of the pillars of Globalworth's development strategy in Poland. 

Adventum International, a Malta-based boutique investment fund manager with a partial Hungarian background, has acquired the 18,000 sqm Poznan Financial Center from Peakside Capital Advisors. The purchase price was not disclosed.

M7 Real Estate, a pan-European investor and asset manager, has acquired a further five office, light industrial and logistics assets in Poland on behalf of its M7 Polish Active Fund (M7 POLAF) for a total of €65 million in three separate transactions.
