Panattoni to deliver 6,000 sqm project in Rzeszów

Panattoni is developing another modern and ecologically sustainable cross-docking terminal for DB Schenker. The 6,000 sqm centre is to be built within the Rzeszów-Dworzysko Science and Technology Park. It will be equipped with a range of solutions to protect the environment as well as intelligent systems to optimise logistic operations. The developer is to hand the centre over in January 2021 and the development has already been accredited as an innovative centre by the Rzeszów Regional Development Agency.

Hines invests in Wrocław logistics park

Hines has acquired a major logistics park in Wrocław on behalf of the Hines Pan-European Core Fund (HECF) from GLL Real Estate Partners (GLL), the fund manager which is part of the Macquarie Group. The 123,499 sqm logistics park is fully leased to a global online retailer. The mezzanine warehouse facility was developed in 2015 by Panattoni Europe. The transaction price has not been disclosed.

Investor demand shifts to warehouses in Poland

Total modern warehouse stock in Poland exceeded 20 million sqm in Q3, with a further 1.5 million sqm currently underway despite the pandemic. Occupier activity was at the second-highest level on record in Q3 2020, reaching 1.22 million sqm (+49% y/y). Overall, 3.5 million sqm has been leased since the start of the year. Investor sentiment also remains robust, as testified by a record volume of transactions signed so far in 2020. Axi Immo presented its report on the Polish warehouse market in Q3 2020.

Panattoni launches new 54,000 sqm project near Warsaw

Panattoni has announced its latest investment along the S8 route (Białystok–Warsaw–Wrocław) in the Warsaw region. This time the developer has purchased a 12.56 ha plot close to Nadarzyn for Panattoni Park Warsaw South, which will have an area of almost 54,000 sqm. With the building permit in place, construction work on the complex is to start in January 2021.

Public sector to rescue Warsaw’s office market

The number of state-owned companies relying on modern office space is on the rise, reveals Savills. The public sector and state-owned firms more than doubled their share in office take-up in Warsaw in Q1-Q3 2020 compared to last year. What’s more, Savills estimates that negotiations are pending for more than the amount of office space leased by this sector in the nine months to September 2020.

New leases

  • Panattoni has signed an agreement with a new tenant for its urban development in Łódź. Olmed, which operates a pharmacy and online drugstore, has taken up 9,500 sqm of space in City Logistics Łódź VI.
  • The Polish subsidiary of Hoerbiger, specialized in precision positioning technologies, has leased 200 sqm in the Warsaw-based SOHO by Yareal. The company will start operations in the new offices this May.
  • Ingram Micro, the global distributor of IT solutions and mobile devices, has renewed its lease at the MLP Pruszków II logistics center, covering around 8,200 sqm of modern warehouse and office space. The lease deal was brokered by CBRE.

New appointments

  • Joanna Leńkowska has been appointed as Workthere Lead at Savills Poland, taking over the role from Thomas Jodar. Leńkowska brings five years of experience in the flexible office sector to the team, having previously worked with WeWork and CitySpace.
  • CTP Romania has appointed Diane-Monique Forrest as Business Developer. She will focus on leasing activities in Transylvania, covering key cities such as Timișoara, Arad, Sibiu, and Deva.
  • iO Partners has announced the appointment of Róbert Cesnek as Head of Capital Markets in Slovakia, effective from January 2026. In his new role, he will focus on further strengthening market presence, advising clients on complex investment decisions and delivering high-impact transactions across asset classes.
