Europe’s fundamental mismatch between voracious housing demand and the limited supply is driving massive investment growth in the residential sector and will continue to generate opportunities even amid geopolitical and economic uncertainties, according to a new report by Colliers.

With prices still on the rise, buyers of apartments in Poland are adopting a realistic approach rather than wishful thinking in finding a property. The most noticeable change in purchasers’ preferences is that prospective buyers now tend to accept a smaller property and have a larger budget prepared.

The Capital Park Group has signed the final purchase agreement for two plots of land in Gdańsk with a total area of 1.3 hectares at the Polski Hak. It is one of the most prestigious locations in the heart of the Tricity, in the surroundings of the Motława estuary which flows into the Martwa Wisła river. The planned project is a residential development accompanied by commercial functions. The author of the winning architectural concept of land development is the JEMS Architekci studio.

The REICO ČS LONG LEASE fund managed by REICO investiční společnost České spořitelny, a.s., is buying BWI’s research and development centre in Kraków, Poland. The value of the fund’s new acquisition is approximately CZK 700 million (€27.3 million). 

Panattoni is to increase the size of its portfolio in the Lubusz region. The developer is to begin work on Panattoni Park Gorzów II, which should eventually comprise 67,000 sqm in three buildings. The first is to have 36,500 sqm and is to be completed this year. On completion of the project the company's portfolio should comprise more than 700,000 sqm. 

Panattoni has completed a production and business centre for Danfoss Poland. The 13,000 sqm complex of buildings together with its accompanying facilities was completed a year after the launch of construction work. Dekpol was the general contractor. 

WOOD & Company Real Estate Fund will acquire the Astrum Business Park office building in Warsaw from Prochem S.A. and the LFI investment fund, marking the Fund’s first real estate acquisition in Poland. The building has a total leasable area of over 23,000 sqm and is fully leased. The transaction is subject to the tax ruling procedure, the company announces on its website.

Warsaw UNIT is now fully adapted to work in a post-pandemic reality. The effectiveness of the solutions used in the high-rise building has been confirmed by the WELL Health-Safety Rating certificate.

White Star Logistics, a joint venture between White Star Real Estate and Bain Capital Credit, will build a 30,000 sqm logistics and manufacturing park in Łodź. The complex will consist of two buildings, the first of which will be commissioned in the first half of 2023. This is another investment of White Star Logistics, which was announced in recent months - after warehouse parks in Raszyn, Nowy Konik and Toruń.
