Maciej Dyjas and Nebil Senman, Managing Partners at Griffin Real Estate have talked to Property Forum about investing in new opportunities, the future of the retail and changes in the office market.

The social media giant has opened its operations centre in Olivia Centre in Oliwa district of Gdańsk. In the first phase, 80 places were created, and by 2023 the team will expand to 500 people. The branch will support companies from the SME sector with their promotional campaigns on Facebook and related applications.

Property investor Globalworth says all its 16 office buildings in Bucharest are using 100% green energy from renewable sources starting July 2021. 

The office market in Cluj-Napoca is expected to record a sharp decrease of deliveries this year and only 5,000 sqm of spaces are under development this year and will be finalized by 2023, according to property consultancy SVN Romania.

Globalworth has signed a preliminary agreement to sell five Warsaw office buildings to 5th Corner – a new investment platform set up by Cornerstone Investment Management and other shareholders. In this transaction, which is valued at around €123 million, the buildings in Globalworth’s portfolio that are to be sold are Nordic Park, Bliski Centrum, Batory Building I, Company House I and Warta Tower.

Hungarian developer Futureal and MKB Bank have signed a loan agreement for nearly €50 million (approx. HUF 17 billion) to finance the third phase of its Budapest ONE office park project. The final phase of the office complex will be completed in the second half of 2022.

Cavatina Holding, the largest Polish office developer, established a bond issue program worth up to PLN 200 million and submitted a prospectus to the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (UKNF), which, if approved, will form the basis of the issue.
