Union Investment has acquired a new logistics building in the Polish town of Września, around 50 km east of Poznań. The acquisition will be added to the holdings of institutional fund UII Garbe Logistik Fonds. The seller is Netherlands-based online retailer vidaXL. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

ECE expands its activities in the development of logistics properties to the international market and realizes a logistics project in Poland for the first time.

According to CBRE Ukraine, the warehouse and logistics segment demonstrated higher resilience than the rest of the commercial real estate market against the backdrop of military aggression in Ukraine. However, it suffered large-scale destruction from rocket attacks on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. WDP, the industrial and logistics projects developer, recorded EPRA earnings of €175.9 million in the first nine months of the year, up 17% compared to the same period of 2021. This was generated by the pre-let of new projects and organic growth via the indexation of leases as well as newly realized acquisitions and some non-recurring income. 

Czech development company Logport plans to develop key urban infrastructure in Jinočany near Prague. The first project of the company there will be the commercial and industrial complex Logport Prague West which should be completed in one year, the company announced.

The courier, express and postal (CEP) parcel market in Poland has been enjoying continuous, double-digit growth for several years, and its value has already exceeded PLN 17 billion, according to the latest "Polish CEP Report 2022", prepa­red by Last Mile Experts, 7R and Cushman & Wakefield. Among the factors that most significantly influence the development of the last mile supply segment, experts point to the dynamic growth of the e-commerce sector, which has become one of the key purchasing channels for consumers and deter­mines the increase in demand for this type of service.

Panattoni has begun building work on Panattoni Park Szczecin IV, which is to comprise 40,000 sqm. The project’s space has already been leased out to a furniture company from the TSL sector. 

The new logistics park Contera Ostrava D1 is being built on an area of 350,000 sqm in Ostrava-Hrušov. The first two completed buildings are already fully leased. The project, which was launched in autumn 2020 at an estimated total cost of over €118 million, is being built on a former brownfield site and includes one of the largest and most modern industrial halls in the Czech Republic, Contera announced.

Panattoni has leased out almost 80,000 sqm to global logistics operator DSV within the Wrocław Logistics South Hub. This is the first lease for space in the developer’s largest project in the region, which is to eventually comprise 250,000 sqm. Construction work began in the summer of the current year.
