SPDI to acquire part of Romanian logistics portfolio

Secure Property Development and Investment PLC, an SEE-focused property and investment company, announced the proposed acquisition of up to a 50% interest in a portfolio of fully let logistics properties in Romania. The so-called Olympians Portfolio comprises assets in Bucharest, Timisoara and Brasov. The gross asset value of the 100,000 sqm portfolio is approximately €50 million and there is a senior loan liability of approximately €30 million secured against the portfolio.

CTP acquires Bucharest logistics park for €17 million

CTP continues its accelerated growth by acquiring Chitila Logistic Park, near Buchares, Romania. The transaction was concluded in September and the value of the investment reaches €17.3 million. CLP has been purchased from UBM Development. This acquisition is part of CTP’s strategy of reaching a total leasable area of approximately 1 million sqm in Romania by the end of 2018.

Zacaria Group to build industrial park in Craiova

The construction works on the new business park in Craiova are ongoing and the first 10,000 sqm of industrial space will be delivered by the end of the year, Romanian real estate developer Zacaria announced. Southern Industrial Park will comprise 43,000 sqm of Class A industrial space, fully equipped for activities such as storage, logistics, cross-docking or manufacturing.

Panattoni Park Cheb expands

After completion of the second part of the construction in Panattoni Park Cheb, Tchibo has opened an expanded distribution centre for its e-shop. The rentable space increased from 39,000 sqm to 73,000 sqm. This means that in Cheb has grown the second largest logistics hall in the Czech Republic and Tchibo’s largest distribution centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Operations of the first part of the building were commenced on 2 December last year and the site these days just dispatched its millionth parcel.

CTP acquires two logistics parks in Romania for €18 million

CTP has acquired two logistics parks located in Western Romania from Slovak group IPEC for €18 million. The two assets are located in Ineu, Arad County and Salonta, Bihor County and have a total leasable area of 37,000 sqm.

Solid growth on the Romanian industrial market

Gross take-up on the Romanian industrial market grew by 54% in H1 2017, compared with the same period of 2016, to 350,000 sqm. According to JLL Romania, the total demand for industrial space reached 180,000 sqm in the second quarter, a comparable level with the one registered in the first quarter of this year.

New leases

  • Borg Automotive Group will move into new premises at HI Piotrkowska office building in Łódź in February 2025. It will occupy approximately 300 sqm. Brookfield Partners supported the tenant in the negotiation process.
  • TK Maxx shop will be opened at Ferio Konin (central Poland). The brand will occupy 2,000 sqm of space in the extended part of the shopping centre.
  • In November, RTV Euro AGD will open four new shops in four Polish cities: Wrocław, Mikołów, Bydgoszcz and Szczecin. Shops will be opened in Galeria Dominikańska in Wrocław (sales floor area of 950 sqm), Park Handlowy in Mikołów (570 sqm), CH Focus in Bydgoszcz (555 sqm) and Vendo Park in Szczecin (480 sqm).

New appointments

  • From November 1st 2024, Izabela Potrykus is to take on the role of head of the leasing team at CPI Property Group (CPIPG) and take on responsibility for 20 office buildings with a combined area of 516,000 sqm.
  • Knight Frank continues to strengthen its European management team with the appointment of Charles Taylor as CEO of Knight Frank Poland. He is a former Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield Poland.
  • Immo lab, a consultancy specialising in strategic investment advice in the real estate sector, announces that Bartłomiej Ciemała is joining its team to take up the position of director of investment development.
