Australian investor pulls out of takeover of Polish developer

Australian investor RF Corval has pulled out of a planned joint buyout of Polish industrial and office park developer Buma, Polish fund manager Reino Capital announced in a statement to the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The proposed €287 million (PLN 1.3 billion) takeover was originally announced in November.

Hong Kong-based investor acquires minority stake in M7

TTB Partners, a Hong Kong-based investment and advisory firm, announced the acquisition of a minority stake in M7 Real Estate.  The investment is the latest step in a wider collaboration between the two companies, as they seek to capitalize on the continued appetite from Asian investors for European real estate.  TTB will utilize its own network of contacts in the region to access new capital pools looking to invest in the UK and pan-European real estate, either through joint ventures or through investment funds.

ČMN fund acquires Prague office building

Wing raises €156 million for further expansion

In order to expand its investment portfolio and implement its growth strategy, Hungarian investor-developer Wing has raised €156 million (HUF 54.7 billion) within the framework of the Central Bank of Hungary’s Funding for Growth Scheme. Corporate bonds subscribed by the central bank and other institutional investors have a maturity of 10 years and a yield of 3.56 percent.

Romanian proptech selected to join UK accelerator

Romanian proptech start-up Bright Spaces, which develops a complete digital platform for showcasing and offering for office buildings and spaces, has been selected to join proptech accelerator Pi Labs in the United Kingdom. Pi Labs is the first venture capital firm in Europe to invest exclusively in proptech start-ups and Europe's most active investor in the field. Bright Spaces was chosen, along with 4 other European start-ups, out of a total of over 600 registered teams. The Romanian startup will enter a 15-week intensive program, with the objective of developing the product and scaling the company to the size and needs of the European office market.

Contera secures €155 million loan from two banks

Czech industrial developer Contera has obtained a syndicated loan from ČSOB and Komerční banka in the total amount of €155 million. Most of the funds will be committed to refinancing the developer’s portfolio of warehouses and production halls in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which are owned and operated by Contera together with US investment company TPG Capital. The remainder of the loan is allocated to the development of new projects.

New leases

  • The gastronomic offer of the BIG Łubna retail park near Warsaw has expanded with the Sphinx restaurant. The premises, with an area of ​​almost 400 sqm, were opened in October.
  • Interpneu Polska, a distributor of tyres and rims has renewed its lease for approximately 6,000 sqm of space in the MLP Poznań logistics centre. Of this, approximately 5,700 sqm is designated for warehouse use, while around 225 sqm is allocated for office and social areas.
  • Agfa-Gevaert Group has extended its lease of office space in Oxygen Park. The company signed its first lease in the Warsaw complex in 2014. Under the new agreement, it will stay in Oxygen Park for the next six years. The headquarters of the Polish branch of Agfa covers 1,160 sqm. of office space and is located on the 3rd floor of Building B.

New appointments

  • Agnieszka Słomka-Gołębiowska has resigned from her position as a member of the Supervisory Board and chair of the Audit Committee of Ghelamco Invest. The position of member of Ghelamco's Supervisory Board will be filled by Lidia Jabłonowska-Luby. An existing member of the Audit Committee, Jarosław Myjak, was also appointed to act as chairman of the Audit Committee.
  • MLP Group is from now on working with a smaller board of directors. Monika Dobosz has resigned from her position. She had served on the company's board since July 2022, when she was appointed to the board together with Agnieszka Góźdź.
  • After almost eight years at the helm of Savills IM's Polish office, Piotr Trzcinski is leaving the firm. He joined Savills IM in 2017.
