YIT installs modular bathrooms in Czech flats

In 1.5 years, 275 modular bathrooms have been installed in YIT apartments in the Czech Republic. The developer is expanding the use of prefabrication to other building elements. By incorporating this technology, the company plans to not only improve the quality of its residential projects but also speed up their implementation. At the same time, it expects to have less demand for labour, which is in short supply. In addition to bathrooms, the developer is now also using modular manufacturing for structural elements. The Czech branch of YIT is following in the footsteps of its parent company in Finland, which has been building in this way since the 1970s, YIT told the press.

YIT sells off Russian branch below cost

The YIT Group, which is the largest construction and development company in Finland and has so far operated in 10 countries including the Czech Republic, has completed a strategic review of its business in Russia. Based on this analysis, it signed an agreement with Etalon Group PLC to sell its business in Russia.

New leases

The Polish branch of Lufthansa Technik AG, a global provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for civil aviation, has joined the group of tenants at the Infinity office building in Wrocław. The company has leased over 860 sqm of office space in the building, in the heart of the city on ul. Legnicka. Lufthansa Technik AG will move into its new headquarters in April 2026. The lease was signed for seven years.
Fortress Logistics Real Estate, part of South African global investment platform, has set up office in the third floor of the Metropolitan building on Piłsudski Square. The Warsaw office will overlook the Ministry of Culture and the Raffles Europejski Hotel.
Promenada Mall, owned by Nepi Rockcastle, has completed the first stage of its food court modernisation, spanning 1,000 sqm, with the opening of eight new restaurants.

New appointments

From mid-October, László Csapó will take up the position of Director of Business Development at Danubius Hotels Zrt. He succeeds Andrea Róna, who had held the position since 2022.
Cushman & Wakefield Echinox has named Gabriel Vințe as Business Development Manager within the Project & Development Services (PDS) department. He will also oversee the business line dedicated to sustainability services. Vințe has over 21 years of experience gained in renowned companies across sectors such as financial services, retail, residential, and consultancy.
Cushman & Wakefield has strengthened its Warsaw-based Capital Markets team, led by Paweł Partyka, with the appointments of Jakub Grabara and Natalia Wołyniec. The new hires will support the company in delivering transactional advisory services across the commercial property market.
