The Czech property investment market has been quite quiet during the past months. Sales are rare; banks are taking a rather conservative approach to potential investments and transactions, which is coming across the real estate market. The first panel discussion of last week‘s Prague Property Forum 2024 dived into financing strategies and options for market awakening.

Investors and bankers are interested in closing deals in the Romanian commercial property sector and we might see more projects with bigger discounts next year, concluded speakers of the transactions panel of SEE Property Forum 2023, held in Bucharest recently.

The rising share of domestic investors has kept volumes high in CEE property markets in the last year and this trend will continue. The overall market outlook is quite optimistic as further declines are expected for inflation and construction costs, concluded panellists of Property Forum's recent online event.

Although financing has become more expensive for real estate companies in the past 12 months, transactions are still being carried out, pointed out speakers in the financing strategies panel of CEE Property Forum 2022 in Vienna.
