CTP starts €35 million BTS development in Prague

CTP Invest has signed a lease agreement with MAKRO Cash & Carry ČR, for approx. 53,000 sqm of warehouse and office space at CTPark Prague North. The transaction ranks among the biggest deals recently concluded on the Czech industrial market. Total investment by CTP is planned to reach approximately €35 million.

Hungarian developers to face delays and lower profit margins

The current forecast for total construction volumes in Hungary shows increases of 8% and 12% for 2017 and 2018, respectively. The barriers for the realization of the developments are the rise of construction costs and the lack of skilled labour force. CBRE expects that these issues raise risks of delivery delays and decrease of developers’ profit margins.

Panattoni Europe starts BTS project in Warsaw region

Panattoni Europe is to build another facility for DSV Solutions. The 25,000-square-metre logistics centre will be erected in Pęcice, as part of Panattoni Park Janki II. The cornerstone ceremony initiating the project took place on 23 March, and completion of the investment is scheduled for August 2017.

S Immo launches new project in Bratislava

Vienna-based real estate investment company S Immo AG has launched another project in Bratislava, the Einsteinova Business Center. The property is located right near the Danube in the Petržalka district and is directly connected to the old town via a pedestrian and tram bridge. An office building offering 23,500 sqm of lettable space is being built on the site, which encompasses roughly 11,600 sqm. The building is planned as a green building and should receive BREEAM certification with a level of “Excellent”.

HB Reavis starts major new development in Budapest

HB Reavis has gained planning consent for its next new major development, Agora Budapest, situated next to city’s busiest boulevard and the Váci Road office corridor. Construction on the first building called Agora Hub has already commenced. Agora Budapest will be built in several phases and will comprise more than 136,000 sqm of modern office spaces and retail units by 2023. The project will require an investment of approximately HUF140 billion (€447 million).

TriGranit hands over new building in Kraków

Building G, the 7th element of the Bonarka for Business (B4B) office complex in Kraków, has been just handed over. The 100% built-to-suit, eight-storey Class A office building has 10,000 of sqm GLA and will host Euroclear, a Belgium-based financial services company. Having closed 8,000 sqm of lease renewals and new leases in the last months, TriGranit plans the delivery of further 3 office buildings in B4B in the near future.

New leases

  • Igepa Polska has leased approximately 7,650 sqm of space at the MLP Łódź logistics centre (central Poland), which includes offices, a showroom, and a terrace. The transaction was facilitated with the support of the consulting firm Newmark Polska.
  • Grammarly, a global AI service provider developing spell correction technology, has opened its new European headquarters in CPI Property Group's Warsaw Financial Center office building. The company has taken over 1,000 sqm of space. JLL experts supported the tenant in the transaction and legal advice was provided by Baker McKenzie law firm.
  • Enlarged showrooms for three brands - Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Marc o'Polo - have opened in the Wrocław Fashion Outlet. The space they occupy has increased by a total of 500 sqm

New appointments

  • Marta Zawadzka has TriGranit as Head of Leasing and Asset Management. Returning to the company after nearly a decade, Marta will oversee leasing activities for key projects, including Signum in Warsaw and Bonarka for Business in Kraków.
  • Ghelamco Invest has announced the reorganisation of its board of directors. Jarosław Zagórski, Joanna Krawczyk-Nasiłowska, Arnold Neuville, Jarosław Fiutowski, Damian Woźniak and Rafał Gierczak resigned as members of the company's board. As a result, the board consists of Paul Gheysens, Michael Gheysens, Marie-Julie Gheysens, Christiaan Heggerick and Jarosław Jukiel. This reduced number of board members (from 11 to 5) is expected to streamline the decision-making process, allowing all stakeholders to focus on their core roles.
  • Joanna Bieniek has taken up the position of Head of Leasing at Galeria Askana in Gorzów Wielkopolski (Western Poland). Prior to joining the Galeria Askana team, she headed the leasing department at Cream Property Advisors.
