Contera has deepened its cooperation with Valeo. At Contera Park Prešov in Slovakia, where the French global company has been operating for a long time, it will expand its premises by another 11,000 square metres, reports the online magazine systemylogistiky.sk.

Czech developer Contera has opened Organica office building in Ostrava. The grand opening was attended by representatives of the main client, the Scandinavian company Tietoevry, as well as the Mayor of Ostrava and the Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region. 

Due to its growing portfolio and improving tenant structure, Czech developer Contera has decided to secure financing for its projects and development for the next seven years, Daniela Fraňková, Contera's CFO, confirmed for Property Forum. The refinancing will be provided by UniCredit Bank and two other banks.

The new logistics park Contera Ostrava D1 is being built on an area of 350,000 sqm in Ostrava-Hrušov. The first two completed buildings are already fully leased. The project, which was launched in autumn 2020 at an estimated total cost of over €118 million, is being built on a former brownfield site and includes one of the largest and most modern industrial halls in the Czech Republic, Contera announced.

A new logistics park will be built in Ziar nad Hronom in central Slovakia by autumn 2023. The developer Contera will construct it here for € 22 million. The first big tenant is already assured too, it will be the electronics wholesaler Fast Plus, writes logistikadnes.sk. 

Contera has become the new owner of Vlčie hrdlo Business Park in Bratislava, located on a former brownfield area and offering 33,420 square meters of warehouse and office space, the company announced on LinkedIn. Contera purchased the asset, situated close to R7 highway, from investment group Natland.

The industrial and logistics market is booming across the region with e-commerce and logistic companies being the main drivers of growth from the tenant side. Colliers recently secured the largest agent-involved transaction in the history of the Czech industrial market. Senior Associate Lukáš Svobodník brought Sportisimo to Hrušov in Ostrava, where Contera began construction of a logistics complex for the sporting goods retailer. This new distribution centre of the Czech company will offer jobs to 700 people. The 90,000 sqm hall, with a clear height of up to 25 meters, a rare feature in the Czech Republic, is now one of the country’s biggest logistics halls.
