Panattoni hands over logistics centre to Amazon in Moravia

Panattoni has just completed its logistics centre in Kojetín and handed it over to multinational e-commerce company Amazon for use. It is the first fully-fledged multi-storey distribution centre in the Czech Republic and is currently the most modern logistics hall in the country thanks to its equipment and environmentally friendly approach as well as its high energy self-sufficiency. The value of the building is more than CZK 5 billion (over € 202 million). The project was financed by Accolade.

Accolade CEO: We need a more self-sufficient Europe

The industrial and logistics market has not been directly influenced by the Ukrainian war, but inflation, rising interest rates and changes to our supplier-customer relationships are affecting it indirectly, says Accolade Group CEO Milan Kratina. Nevertheless, he thinks that there are still a lot of aspects which haven’t changed for a long time, such as the shortage of warehouse and manufacturing space or the ongoing trend of nearshoring. Accolade and Panattoni plan Czech market's largest hall

The largest logistics hall in the Czech Republic will rise near Cheb (in the westernmost region of the country). Accolade and Panattoni are already intensively preparing its construction in the local industrial zone. According to the Industrial Research Forum (IRF), an association of consultancy firms, this is the largest domestic transaction in Q2 2O22, with the pre-lease of logistics space in the area of about 233,700 sqm. The name of the tenant (an unspecified distribution company) has not yet been disclosed by either party. Lucie Mareš Heřmanovská, a spokeswoman for the Accolade company, informed Property Forum about the project.

Accolade to invest CZK 6 billion in Karlovy Vary region

Accolade Group plans to invest over CZK 6 billion in the Karlovy Vary Region. Accolade's portfolio currently includes two industrial parks near Cheb with a total of five buildings and thirteen tenants. Three more buildings are in preparation or under construction in Cheb. So far, the group has financed the development of approximately 250,000 sqm of industrial and logistics space in the area, the value of which exceeds CZK 5 billion.

Accolade secures €500 million of bank financing in Poland

Despite the turbulent economic situation, banks are readily lending money to the commercial real estate segment, with warehouses being their top choice. The industrial investor Accolade is one of the most willingly financed warehouse portfolio holders in Poland. The company benefits from over €500 million in bank loans, 40% of which has been acquired since February 2020. At the same time, in the Czech Republic, the company has signed a loan agreement with a club of banks for €137.5 million. It is the largest ever loan provided for a single industrial rental property in the CEE region.

Accolade signs €137.5 million loan for Amazon warehouse

Accolade Group has signed a €137.5 million (roughly CZK 3.4 billion) loan agreement. Thanks to this, the company will be able to finance the construction of a large multi-storey distribution centre near Kojetín in the Olomouc Region (located in the northeast of the Czech Republic) for the online store Amazon, writes the daily E15.

New leases

  • The Unisono chain has joined the ranks of tenants at Designer Outlet Sosnowiec (southern Poland). The women's clothing brand will occupy 115 sq m of space in the facility.
  • Borg Automotive Group will move into new premises at HI Piotrkowska office building in Łódź in February 2025. It will occupy approximately 300 sqm. Brookfield Partners supported the tenant in the negotiation process.
  • TK Maxx shop will be opened at Ferio Konin (central Poland). The brand will occupy 2,000 sqm of space in the extended part of the shopping centre.

New appointments

  • Agnieszka Słomka-Gołębiowska has resigned from her position as a member of the Supervisory Board and chair of the Audit Committee of Ghelamco Invest. The position of member of Ghelamco's Supervisory Board will be filled by Lidia Jabłonowska-Luby. An existing member of the Audit Committee, Jarosław Myjak, was also appointed to act as chairman of the Audit Committee.
  • MLP Group is from now on working with a smaller board of directors. Monika Dobosz has resigned from her position. She had served on the company's board since July 2022, when she was appointed to the board together with Agnieszka Góźdź.
  • After almost eight years at the helm of Savills IM's Polish office, Piotr Trzcinski is leaving the firm. He joined Savills IM in 2017.
