Praga Studios, the new Karlín office building by Skanska, has progressed significantly on its way to completion. In October 2018, the builders placed a topping out flag on the site of the future roof terrace to symbolise the completion of the superstructure. The building, with a total area of almost 12 000 sqm, will be completed in Q2 2019.
Praga Studios is being built between Pernerova and Křižíkova streets in Prague 8, close to the Křižíkova metro station. The LEED Platinum certified building will be economic in terms of energy and drinking water consumption. Thanks to the glass façade, 75% of the workspaces will have maximum access to daylight.
Skanska has created a mobile application for the project, which presents the building and its surroundings in detail. Once the building is completed and put into operation, the app will be available to the tenants, who can access and enjoy all the services available in the building and its vicinity via the app.
Skanska is also striving to obtain a WELL certificate, which focuses on assessing the building interior and appraising the high-quality and healthy work environment and evaluating its impact on the building’s users.
The building currently has two tenants and the developer is negotiating with others. The office section will house Scott & Weber, providers of virtual and shared office, and there will be a restaurant on the ground floor
