Žižkov Station Development, founded by the development company Sekyra Group and České dráhy (the Czech railways), has submitted the planned construction of 3,000 apartments in the area of Prague's Žižkov Freight Station for an environmental impact assessment (EIA), reports newstream.cz.
According to the announcement, the foreseen date for the start of construction is 2030 with the completion ten years later. The station building itself, which the joint venture originally also owned, was recently bought by the capital.
Sekyra Group plans to build two blocks of apartment buildings and a park on the land. Most buildings will have 9 floors, while twelve to fifteen-floor buildings as land accents.
Part of the plan includes underground garages for around 3,000 cars. The design of the park will emerge from an architectural-landscape competition. According to the document, the construction date is only indicative.
