Polish developer Scallier has secured a building permit for a new retail park with a leasable area of 9,975 sqm in Vaslui, Eastern Romania.
The project is scheduled to become operational this year and close to half of the retail spaces have already been leased. The retail park in Vaslui will be the fifth property developed by Scallier in Romania.
The company completed projects in Roșiorii de Vede and Focșani and is continuing the development of retail sites in Turda and Timișoara.
“We are consistently implementing the plan for the development of retail parks in Romanian cities, building a balanced portfolio of real estate generating stable income based on contracts with recognized international and local brands,” said Wojciech Jurga, Managing Partner at Scallier, responsible for managing the company's development in Romania.
The investments in retail parks have picked up in Romania during the pandemic and market consultants expect the development to continue in smaller cities.
