Savills has been appointed an office and retail leasing adviser for Okrąglak and Kwadraciak, two of the most iconic buildings in Poznań.
Okrąglak was built at the site of the former Bank Cukrownictwa (Sugar Industry Bank) in the late 1940s and early 1950s. In 2012, it went through a thorough refurbishment process that included its repurposing from a retail-only scheme to an office building. Today, both Okrąglak and the adjacent Kwadraciak, situated in the very heart of Poznań, have become home to companies that value modernity, a central location and prestige.
Savills will support the owners of the buildings in office and retail space leasing.
“Okrąglak is seen as the finest example of Polish modernism and a landmark of Poznań. This building is well-known to all the inhabitants of the city. Following its thorough refurbishment and repurposing, Okrąglak and its younger brother Kwadraciak are one of the most prestigious business locations in Poznań,” says Piotr Skuza, Regional Manager, Office Agency, Savills.
Okrąglak and Kwadraciak are located in the very centre of Poznań, at the junction of 27 grudnia and Seweryna Mielżyńskiego streets, in the immediate vicinity of the famous Wolności Square, Święty Marcin Street and the Old Town. Both buildings are under the supervision of a conservation officer. The properties are owned by Benson Elliot and Sharow Capital.
