Reconstruction of the mixed-use commercial centre Černý Most in Prague 14 is beginning in April this year. The project from the Unibail-Rodamco portfolio is bringing 32 new shops and restaurants and 3 new cinemas.
Instead of the existing food court, a new catering concept, Dining Plaza, will be created increasing the share of restaurants with table service. In the interior, greenery will receive more space with wood as the dominant element of the interior. Construction modifications will take place during the full operation of the shopping centre, to minimise the impact on its customers. The project envisages the use of grey water, low-carbon concrete and the recycling of existing structures.
The planned extension complements the two previous phases of reconstruction, the first of which started in 2000. This third phase will be completed in autumn 2025 leading to the final status of the entire Černý Most Centre.
The architectural solution is the work of the London company Benoy. The planned reconstruction was granted a building permit based on the documentation executed by the Obermeyer Helika office. This design and construction consulting office also created documentation for the zoning decision and for the execution of the construction.
